Information for Referrers and the work so far
Research identifies that ‘education’ can improve mental health and wellbeing.  Live and Learn is a pilot that aims to bring together the world of mental health and education.

Back in September 2015 Washington Mind and Aspire entered into partnership and were successful in our tender to build on our existing partnership. IMPACT North East were also successful within their part of the application. Together we developed a range of courses and training sessions, most of which have now been delivered.
To see the courses which were part of the original pilot click here!

We also delivered training opportunities for the workforce and courses for those aged 19 and over experiencing mild to moderate depression and/or anxiety. There is further information at the front of the original brochure with regard to the process for those who signed up to the courses and as is the nature of the pilot there was support provided throughout the courses.

When the pilot was complete the information gathered was analysed by IPSOS MORI. The success of the pilot has lead to its extension and the delivery of the additional courses at the top of this page.
