How to Donate Money to Washington Mind When You Buy Something on eBay
Go to www.ebay.co.uk and click on “My eBay” from the menu at the top right.

If required, log into your eBay account:

Click on “Account” and then select “Donation account” from the drop-down menu:

On the “eBay for Charity” screen, select “Give at Checkout”:

If the “FAQ” page appears, click on the “Other ways to give” link.

On the next page that opens, click on the “My Favourite Charities” link which is in the “Donate at checkout” section:

In the box “Charity name or Keyword” enter “Washington Mind” and press “Search”:

Ensure that you have the correct charity by checking the address of “Washington Mind (Village Lane, Tyne and Wear)”. The click on the “Save as Favourite” button

You will then receive a message confirming that Washington Mind is now your favourite charity.
Next time you buy something from eBay and choose to pay using PayPal you will be given the option to donate to Washington Mind:

Go to www.ebay.co.uk and click on “My eBay” from the menu at the top right.

Select “Sell” from the menu at the right and then select “Sell an item” from the drop-down list:

From the options, select “Advanced Sell”:

Enter the details of the item you want to sell then scroll to the bottom of the page until you see the title:
Raise money for your favourite charity through eBay:

Click on the link “Select another charity”:

In the box “Charity name or keyword” enter “Washington Mind” and then press “Search”:

Once eBay has finished its search, check that you have the correct Washington Mind by checking the “City” is “Washington” then press “Select”.
Highlight Washington Mind as your chosen charity and chose what percentage you want to donate:

How to Donate Money to Washington Mind When You Sell Something on eBay Using eBay Turbo Lister
Open eBay Turbo Lister and click on “New”. Select “Create new item” from the drop-down list:

Under the “Donate Percentage to Charity” title on the right hand side of the page, click the drop-down titled “No charity selected”.

From the drop-down choose “Select a new charity...”:

If you are presented with a pop-up message warning you that you need to agree to eBay’s terms and conditions, click on the Terms & Conditions. Link:

You will be presented with a box asking you to accept eBay’s terms and conditions. You will need to tick the first two boxes. Please also tick the third box relating to “Gift Aid”. This will not cost you anything extra but will increase the value of your donation by at least 25%. Once you have ticked the boxes, press the “Accept” button

You will then be taken back to Turbo Lister and asked to select a charity:

Enter the charity name as “Washington Mind” then press “Search”

Washington Mind may appear twice on the list

Both entries should be the same. You can check by making sure our Mission statement of “Washington Mind exists to enhance the quality of life for people experiencing mental ill health by working in partnership with them in creative and innovative ways” appears when you have the mouse over the name.
Once you are happy you have the correct Washington Mind press “Select”.
You will now be returned to your Turbo Lister listing page. You can then select Washington Mind as your chosen charity and also the amount you want to donate:
