Well Being and AGM Event
In September 2008 we held a 'Well Being' event and AGM at the Galleries Health Centre opened by the Deputy Mayor. Gentoo kindly provided us with funding to hold the event and the public were invited to gather information on the different services available in Washington, to sample complementary therapy tasters, have mini health MOTs, buy arts and crafts and enjoy our good mood food buffet.
This event also acted as the launch for our new website that was kindly created by two of our volunteers. Various organisations attended to promote their services and this event was attended by over 100 people.
Following the wellbeing event we held our annual general meeting supported by our guest speaker Neil Reveley, Director of Health, Housing and Adult Services. The meeting looked back over the previous twelve months and enabled us to celebrate our successes as well as planning for the future. One of our service users spoke about her experience of Washington Mind as a service and thanks was given to all our service users who have supported Washington Mind over the past year.
