Promoting resilience and managing stress

In order for us to build resilience and manage stress, we first need to understand them both. Whilst stress is not a mental illness it can, if ignored, impact upon our wellbeing and our capacity to cope. By the end of this half-day session, you will be able to:

  • Understand what stress and emotional resilience is
  • Recognise the behavioural, physical, psychological and emotional signs of stress
  • Use a range of techniques to reduce stress and promote emotional resilience
  • Identify and replace unhelpful thoughts
  • Understand the links between physical and emotional health
  • Identify sources of further support and self help materials
